Furman Student Interns at PEP

This summer I had the opportunity to intern with Public Education Partners. It was an incredible experience as I got to dive into so many projects that I was so passionate about. I worked on a research project for the strategic plan of PEP, which included looking at other local education foundations in the Southeast. I gathered data on what we could be doing better and what we should continue doing. I also dove into some policy work by reading legislation that was passed in order to create a recap of the last year in SC Education! I am so grateful for this experience and a huge thank you to Catherine Schumacher for taking me under her wing and further igniting my passion for quality public education!
