Signature Programs
The Upstate is constantly evolving and the Center for Innovative Leadership is right there to grow alongside with it. Our signature programs are developed to address professional development with intent. We believe in research-backed content, and our signature programs are designed to address a specific need that’s been highlighted, and they are made to be used immediately on leaving the classroom space.
The learning spaces we offer are welcoming and engaging, with a hands-on feel and a personalized experience for each iteration of the program. Every program runs with not just our experienced facilitators, but with the active participation of those attending. While each program is designed with a specific theme in mind, the core content is brought to life by the unique experiences each individual brings to the day.

Professional Certificates
Starting in Fall 2025, the Center for Innovative Leadership will offer professional certificates in select courses from three of Furman’s graduate programs. Participants will earn academic credit upon completing the course, making this a great option for those interested in professional development, upskilling or exploring graduate studies.
Driving Strategic Performance
This two-day Executive Leadership Lab is designed in collaboration with the BMW Performance Center. Fusing the excitement of high-performance driving with the principles of strategic leadership, this unique experience provides an extraordinary hands-on environment for senior-level leaders in expanding strategic mindsets, building collaboration skills and reenergizing organizational commitment.
